NAPPANEE, Ind. -- This holiday season the Nappanee Art Council found a new approach at spreading holiday cheer.
At first the council gave out around 20 nutcracker cut outs made of metal to local artists and business owners. But the town really was excited for the opportunity and ended up creating over 50 nutcrackers to put throughout the downtown!
Each nutcracker has two different sides putting the grand total at over 100 nutcrackers this season.
Business owners got to team up with local artists to create some that surrounded their business like Veni's Chocolates having a Willy Wonka themed nutcracker!
No two holiday staples are alike, and Visit Nappanee Executive Director, Cami Mechling says this decor has already started bringing in the crowds, and with some holiday events coming up in town, she expects more people to come visit to see all the designs!
