Notre Dame vs Duke: November 9, 2019

DURHAM, N.C. – The Fighting Irish game against the Duke Blue Devils is underway in North Carolina as the Irish come off of a close win from last week.

Notre Dame nearly lost the game against Virginia Tech, winning by just a single point with 29 seconds in the game.

Now the Irish are away again with a pattern this season of struggling with their night games away from the Dome.

The now 15th ranked Irish are 6-2 as they face the unranked Blue Devils who go into tonight’s game 4-4.

Notre Dame scores first with an 18-yard pass to Chris Finke from Ian Book in the First Quarter. The Irish are up 7-0. 

Book follows up with another 7-yard pass to Chase Claypool for the touchdown. Irish are ahead 14-0. 

The Irish are on a streak as C'Bo Flemister scores a 2-yard run in the Second Quarter. Irish still lead 21-0. 

Duke gets on the scoreboard with an impressive 29-yard pass from Quentin Harris to Aaron Young. Irish still lead 21-7. 

Notre Dame scores early in the Second Half with a 6-yard pass from Book to Finke. Irish are up 28-7. 

Jonathon Doerer scores a 34-yard field goal for Notre Dame in the Fourth Quarter. Irish still ahead 31-7. 

Ian Book throws a 2-yard pass to George Takacs for the touchdown. Irish are up 38-7. 

Notre Dame wins against the Duke Blue Devils 38-7. The Irish are now 7-2, winning their first away game since their season opener against Louisville.
