Notre Dame performs Shakespeare's "As You Like It"

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Notre Dame's Patricia George Decio Theatre performs its traditional Shakespeare festival starting on Aug. 20 through Sept. 1.

Opening night kicks off the "As You Like It" performance with catered food and drinks inside the DeBartolo Performing Arts Center's lobby.

Ticket buyers can meet the members of the production team at 6:00 p.m. before the 7:30 p.m. opening night performance.

"The rules of romance are upended in As You Like It, a gloriously entertaining romantic comedy that gleefully interrogates traditional notions of gender, politics, and love." Organizers stated, "Shakespeare’s dizzying mash-up of romantic escapades, disguised lovers, and mistaken identities amuses and entertains as much as it provokes and challenges."
