Emorja Roberson is the first African American to pursue a Doctor of Musical Arts in Choral Conducting at Notre Dame, and serves as the Choral Director for the Voice of Faith Gospel Choir.
Last May, he penned a song called “He’ll Be With You.” (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=d9IFiTzIU_o)
At the beginning of 2020, he felt a calling to record the song, and taped a music video for it featuring singers from Michiana on March 2, just days before the coronavirus pandemic really hit the U.S.
ABC57 Morning Show Anchor Vahid Sadrzadeh chatted with Emorja to learn about the new meaning this song has taken on amid these trying past few weeks.
