SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- NIPSCO opened applications for their energy assistance programs on Wednesday for the fall and winter season.

There are several options to choose from which you may qualify for.

NIPSCO states if you qualify for federal, state, or local income-eligible payment assistance programs, you could receive help paying your utility bill.

Applicants should start with the eligibility calculator.

NIPSCO notes income may not be the only requirement to receive funds through these programs.
