RIGHT NOW: Excavator catches fire at demolition site of old Elkhart County Courthouse

ELKHART COUNTY, Ind. -- A large excavator at the demolition site of the olde Elkhart County Courthouse caught fire Friday afternoon with smoke billowing into the sky.

Elkhart County Dispatch confirmed the call came around 12:07 p.m.

Authorities say northbound lanes of 3rd Street between Franklin and High Streets are currently blocked off.
