SOUTH BEND, Ind. - Music connects everybody.
For South Bend native, Danny Lerman, who's played jazz locally, and all over the world, for years, it's music that creates immediate friends and family.
Saturday night, he and a crew of vocalist, musicians and jazz connoisseurs took to Cool Runnings in downtown South Bend, playing tunes till midnight.
Jazz Fest featured artists from all around the world, including musicians who have released music on a national stage.
"Sometimes it takes some time to build it up but even if it's more intimate or if it's in a bigger place, the music always moves you," said Lerman. "This is my hometown so what better place to do it?"
