Niles police seize AK-47

NILES, Mich. — Niles police made a surprising discovery during a routine traffic stop.
Officers found an AK-47 in a man's car.
The gun was unloaded and sitting on the front seat.
As the suspect tried to get away from police, he was quickly taken down by a taser.
Officers believe he was drunk.
