Pipestone Road closure in Benton Township to start

BENTON TOWNSHIP, Mich. - The Berrien County Road Department announced Pipestone Road in Benton Township will close starting Monday, April 22, for completion of utility work related to drainage and right-of-way road work.

It will affect Pipestone Road between Napier Avenue and Mall Drive with no thru traffic permitted.

Officials estimate the work to last four to five weeks, work progression and weather permitting.

Drivers are asked to seek alternative routes or use the detour route until the work has been reopened.

Officials add that local traffic accessing Aldi or Brookfield Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram can do so by traveling south on Pipestone Road from the Napier Avenue intersection.

Local traffic accessing Meijer can do so by traveling north on Pipestone Road from the Mall Drive intersection.

The detour route is Napier Avenue to Plaza Drive to Fairplain Drive to Mall Drive to Pipestone Road.
