Indiana Sheriff's Youth Leadership Camp open for applicants

ELKHART, Ind. -- Registration is open for Elkhart County’s 43^rd Annual Youth Leadership camp being held throughout June.

Sponsored by the Indiana Sheriff’s Association, 7^th and 8^th graders with an interest in law enforcement are invited to take part.

The camp will include information sessions, career classes and activities like swimming and an obstacle course.

Two camps are offered this year:

• Pine Creek Camp in Pine Village (Warren County) from June 13-June 16.
• Waycross Episcopal Camp in Morgantown (Brown County) from June 28 to June 30.

Any interested attendees can contact the Elkhart County Sheriff’s Office at 574-891-2300 or the Indiana Sheriff’s Association at 800-622-4779 for applications.

Cost to attend is $25.00. Applications for the Pine Creek Camp are due on June 1, while applications for the Waycross Episcopal Camp are due on June 15.

Some students requiring financial aid may be eligible for sponsorship by the Sheriff.
