New details in death of Christina Woods
SOUTH BEND, Ind -- A South Bend man is in a Minnesota jail to face charges for the murder of 28-year-old Christina Woods.
Daniel Lynn was arrested in Cass County on Friday.
ABC 57 News obtained the court documents earlier today.
Christina Woods was a 28-year-old mother of 4 who according to police was the victim of domestic violence involving her boyfriend, Daniel Lynn, even before her murder.
According to newly released court documents, Woods was last heard from via text message on June 13 when she initially asked her step father for help, but hours later someone texted again saying she was fine.
Investigators say Lynn’s family owned an 80-acre property in Cook Minnesota.
Investigators went to that property to check for any sign of Woods.
Nobody was present at the property, but investigators saw bleach and cleaning materials.
Daniel Lynn admitted to being at the property in June and admitted to only knowing Woods.
Lynn denied knowing where Woods was or having anything to do with her disappearance.
But investigators found what appeared to be the burned remains of a pair of jeans, and necklace.
On July 2, investigators did another search and found what appeared to be a fresh gravesite, along with the remains of Christina Woods.
The same day, an anonymous Crime stoppers tip to police in Indiana, alleged Daniel Lynn admitted he killed someone but that the body would never be found.
The tip helped law enforcement locate his wife, Brooke Lynn, who allegedly admitted she saw Daniel Lynn strangle Christina Woods.
Daniel Lynn is now being held on a $1 million dollar bond and facing second degree murder charges.
Those charges carry a maximum sentence of 40 years in prison.
There are a lot of new details on this case; the court documents are below.
