SOUTH BEND, Ind. - St. Joseph County vacated portions of Walnut and Filmore Roads, which has caused multiple pending road closures beginning September 11. 

A portion of Walnut Road between Early Road and Filmore Road will be shut down. This closure will span approximately 1/2 mile. 

Meanwhile, a one-mile stretch of Filmore Road will also be re-routed between Spruce Road and Willow Road. Travelers going north will have to take Spruce Road and those going south will take Larrison Boulevard. 

Willow Road will also be affected by the closure to Filmore Road, as it will result in a “NO OUTLET” configuration for the road north of State Road 2 at Filmore Road.

Traffic signs will be installed throughout each closure to assist in re-directing traffic.
