Kellie Mullins was re-elected to one of the at-large seats with 23% of the vote. Mullins has been a member of the board for four years, serving as both vice president and president during that time.
Mike Burnett was also elected to an at-large seat received 23% of the vote. It was Burnett's first run for public office. He wants to focus on teacher retention, pay and benefits.
The other candidates for the at-large seat included Shelby Coquette, Charles Taylor, Emily Ann Toledo, and Bessie Wall.
In District B, Jeffrey Bliler was elected with 56% of the vote. He ran against Rodney Hohman.
Bliler is the grandfather of Rio Allred. Her tragic passing last year is what led him to run for the board. He wants to tackle bullying and make sure students have a safe learning environment.
