Mooreland woman dies in crash on State Road 14
FULTON COUNTY, Ind. - A Mooreland woman died in a two-vehicle crash involving a semi on State Road 14 Wednesday morning, according to Indiana State Police.
At 8:37 a.m., Indiana State troopers and deputies from the Fulton County Sheriff's Office were called to a crash at the intersection of S.R. 14 and Fulton County Road 1100 West.
According to the preliminary investigation, 81-year-old Madonna Mawk was driving a 2003 Jeep Liberty east on S.R. 14, approaching C.R. 1100 West, just before the crash.
As she turned north onto C.R. 1100 West, her vehicle collided with a westbound 2023 Peterbilt semi-tractor that was pulling a box trailer.
Mawk was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Peterbilt was not injured.
Mawk was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash, police said.
