Slick roads and pockets of low visibility will still be an issue this morning as lake effect flurries linger until sunrise. Cold weather sticks around the rest of today and highs muster their way into the mid 20s. This evening, a weak surface low northwest of us will be responsible for a combination of system and lake effect snow beginning around 5 PM EST along the lakeside counties and 6 PM EST for landlocked counties. An additional inch is possible between tonight and tomorrow morning for the northern half of Michiana, but the following lake effect snow Wednesday afternoon and evening looks to produce up to a few inches possible. Plan on moderate travel impacts most of Wednesday, especially with it being New Years Eve. Overcast skies and cold weather await us in the start of 2026.
Today: Evening snow. High 24.
Tonight: Snow showers. Low 20.
Wednesday: Snow. High 30.
Thursday: Overcast. High 22.
