Moderate to high impact weather possible tonight and tomorrow

A freezing night of mixed precipitation awaits our entire forecast area heading into tomorrow morning. Low pressure drags in above-freezing air temperatures while surface temperatures stay at or below freezing overnight, resulting in freezing rain that will carry over into Wednesday morning. From tonight into tomorrow's AM commute, plan on moderate to high impact weather that could slow down your drive to work or school. Freezing rain in this environment may result in icy roads, walkways, and other surfaces. Rural roads, subdivisions, and elevated roads will likely freeze by tomorrow morning. Our rain/snow mix converts to mainly snow late tomorrow morning with lake effect taking over, but accumulation will be minimal due to temperatures being in the mid 30s. The evening commute tomorrow may be slowed by low visibility and slick roads due to leftover ice and ongoing snow showers. Thursday is quiet, cold, and cloudy. More snow showers resume on Friday and Saturday as temperatures take a nose dive into the single digits at times over the weekend.

Tonight: Rain/snow. Low 32.

Wednesday: Rain/snow. High 36.

Thursday: Cloudy. High 28.

Friday: Snow showers. High 27.
