MISHAWAKA, Ind. – On Saturday, the Mishawaka Police Department put out a warning for kids who want to stay out late during the summer.
They’re cracking down on juveniles violating the city's curfew ordinance.
The police department says they will have special overtime patrols focusing on curfew violations.
A child of the ages of 15, 16 or 17 will receive a violation if they are in a public space within the city during the following times:
- Between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m. on Saturday or Sunday
- After 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday
- Before 5 a.m. Monday through Friday
For children younger than 15, curfew starts at 11 p.m. until 5 a.m. any day of the week.
