Miracle home opener tonight, minor league baseball returns to Elkhart after 100 years

ELKHART, Ind. - The Elkhart County Miracle's home opener is set for Thursday night, marking minor league baseball's return to the City of Elkhart after over 100 years.

The Miracle will take on the Griffith Generals at 6 p.m., with gates opening at 5 p.m., for "One Buck Night."

The match will take place at the Elkhart Athletic Complex on Waterfall Drive and Division Street.

The Miracle will wear their commemorative “White Rumps” jersey during the game.

Miracle officials say “White Rumps” is the nickname 17th century Native Americans gave elk.

"One Buck" tickets can be purchased here or at the gate.

All hot dogs and popcorn will be available for a dollar each, tonight only.
