SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Navigating downtown may have been a challenge Sunday morning, that is, unless you were on a bike!!
Several city blocks were closed off for the Midwestern Collegiate Cycling Conference Regional Championships.
Students participating say there's no better way to spend their day.
"I love it. I do it for purely selfish reasons that I love being part of a team sport. I happen to really like the bike racing, the endurance and the speed," says Northwestern University cyclist Axie Navas.
Riders in the competition represented a number of colleges including Notre Dame, Purdue and Michigan.
