MICHIGAN CITY, Ind. -- The City of Michigan City and the Northern Indiana Food Bank are hosting a free holiday meal giveaway Tuesday in Fedder's Alley.

The giveaway will be from 9 to 11 a.m., and it will feature 800 meals, including ham, mashed potatoes, macaroni and cheese, vegetables, and desserts.

To receive a holiday meal, Mayor Angie Deuitch's Office asks people to enter the main gate at Washington Park, turn right, and drive past the Michigan City Senior Center to move into Fedder's Alley, where volunteers will load boxes into cars.
