Michiana residents react to Student Loan Forgiveness getting blocked

There was a major defeat for President Joe Biden, in another momentous decision with the U.S. Supreme Court Blocking the administration's plan to forgive up to $20,000 of student loan debt for millions of borrowers, hear what some local residents have to say.

The program would've canceled $10,000 in student debt for all borrowers who make less than $125,000 a year, and up to $20,000 for borrowers who also received Pell Grants in college.

Student loan payments are set to resume this October, after a three year pause was put in place during the pandemic.
