Michiana on outskirts of Winter Storm, still impactful

Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect at 7pm for all of Michiana as the effects of the winter storm can already be felt. Michiana is in a sweet spot, while we are seeing dangerously cold temperatures this morning, we aren't nearly as cold as our neighbors to the north, and while we are seeing snow totals of at least three inches, likely higher in most areas, we will not be seeing the highest snow totals of this storm. Again, it is still an unprecedented event and should be taken seriously; travel will be highly impacted especially on Sunday. Frigid conditions today do start to deteriorate through the week, Tuesday morning will bring another drop in overnight lows, though overall highs rise through the week, hopefully to the low 20s next weekend. More snow chances past this weekend, likely flakes in the middle of the week. Make sure you are staying safe and checking in on your friends and family through this weekend.

Today: Bitterly cold, cloudy. Feels like in the negatives. High 8.
Tonight: Snow picks up, frigid. Feels like in the negatives. Low 4.
Sunday: Widespread snow through the day. Frigid. High 14
Monday: Snow tapers off in the morning. Frigid. High 12.
