SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- Protestors speak out against the supreme court, in a so-called "Rally to Save America".
Demonstrators rally against the U.S. Supreme Court's recent ruling on Presidential Immunity, in favor of former President Donald Trump.
The 'Michiana Alliance for Democracy' organized an 'I Dissent Rally' at the Jon Hunt Plaza in Downtown South Bend, to push back on the idea that any person in the U.S. is above the law, including the President.
"This is up to each of us. You came here today because you know what's at stake. now you got to go, talk to your family, talk to friends, talk to your neighbors, talk to your co-Wokers. Get people out to vote," says Saint Joseph County Council District D member Jenn Shabazz.
Shabazz continues, "We will shatter this glass ceiling in November by electing Kamala Harris. We will stop project 2025 and we will stop this disastrous idea of presidential immunity. We will win and we will work together, thank you."
The Supreme Court ruled that Presidents are immune from prosecution for criminal activity engaged in, in the course of their official duties.
