GRANGER, Ind. -- In an afternoon Truth Social post, President Trump endorsed Brian Schmutzler in the Republican state senate primary against incumbent Linda Rogers, who represents Indiana's 11th district.

In the post, President Trump called Brian a "proven leader" in the medical field. He also said that Schmutzler would "protect Hoosier values." Values President Trump listed include economic growth, tax deregulation, and school choice.

In a post to his Facebook page, Schmutzler stated the following: 

Thank you, President Donald J. Trump. I am honored to receive your endorsement.
I will not let you or the great people of District 11 down.

Onward to Victory!!

Additionally in the post, President Trump called Senator Rogers a "RINO loser." Notably, Senator Rogers voted against the controversial, President Trump-backed Indiana redistricting plan. Her office has not yet offered a statement.
