MICHIGAN.--- The MHSAA has reinstated the fall 2020 sports season. This decision comes after Michigan Governor Gretchen Whitmer signed an executive order allowing but not recommending "high contact" sports to resume.
Boys soccer, girls swimming and diving, and volleyball can resume competition starting Wednesday, September 9th. Football games will resume on Friday, September 18th with the season starting with its originally scheduled week four match ups.
Spectators are limited to two per participant due to the state being in "Stage 4" of the "MI Safe Start Plan".
All football teams will be eligible for the playoffs with the championships set for December 4th and 5th.
Schools have the option to still delay fall sports until spring, but championships will only be played during the fall season.
