SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- McDonald’s restaurants across Indiana and southwest Michigan are supporting Ronald McDonald House Charities by selling white bucket hats for $10 each.
All proceeds will go directly to the houses in Indianapolis, Fort Wayne and right here in South Bend.
The hats have a red and yellow stripe and the McDonald’s logo on them. While they are super cute, the real beauty is in the story behind this fundraiser.
The Ronald McDonald House serves as a shelter for families of children admitted to the hospital mostly for long periods of time.
The house programs provide private bedrooms and bathrooms, transportation, home-cooked meals and access to fully equipped kitchens and laundry facilities.
It acts as a home away from home for families of sick children and provides a support system through their organization and other families going through the same things.
These hats are expected to go quickly. You can make your donation at select McDonald’s across Michiana to claim yours and give $10 a much bigger value.
