McDonald's introduces the cheese Danish to its menu

McDonald's is introducing a new bakery item to its fall menu: the cheese Danish!

The treat will be introduced to participating restaurants across the nation starting September 14.

The flakey pastry is filled with sweet cream cheese and topped with a buttery streusel and light vanilla drizzle.

McDonald's first introduced a variation of the pastry in the '80s.
