Marshall County man faces felony Child Molesting charges

MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- A probable cause affidavit from the Marshall County courts reveals a 30-year-old man is facing several felony Child Molesting charges.

The suspect, Jacob McVey, is charged with Child Molesting where def. is at least 21 years of age, a Level 1 Felony, and two counts of Child Molesting-Fondling or touching, Level 4 Felonies.

McVey's initial hearing was Feb. 18, and his pre-trial hearing is scheduled for Mar. 4.

Court documents state on Jan. 28, the Plymouth Police Department received a preliminary report of alleged child abuse or neglect from the Indiana Division of Child Services.

The report stated a pre-teen had allegedly been inappropriately touched by McVey.

When interviewed on Jan. 30, the victim told investigators McVey had touched their genitals and made them touch his genitals.

On Feb. 6, police spoke with McVey, who initially told authorities nothing had happened. According to the probable cause affidavit, McVey then said the victim was "coming on to him."

McVey then told police the victim forced the inappropriate touching and kissing between the two.
