ABC 57 MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Emergency Management Agency announced Monday around 5 p.m. that the county has been put under a travel advisory due to concerns from drifting snow.
Officials say while the recent snow event only dropped a few inches of snow, Monday's wind gusts of up to 30 miles per hour have created drifting conditions.
Plowing efforts by the Marshall County Highway Department on rural county roads have been hindered, according to officials.
Motorists are encouraged to use caution, especially in open areas prone to drifting.
Travel Advisory means routine travel or activities may be restricted in areas due to hazardous situations. Individuals should use caution or avoid those areas.
