MIAMI, Fla-- The Marlin's manager has been suspended for five days, but not for anything baseball related.
Ozzie Guillen told Time Magazine that he loves retired Cuban Dictator Fidel Castro and respects him for staying in power for so long.
The comments that Guillen made hit the people of South Florida very hard and at least two local officials said that he should lose his job.
Guillen has already made a statement apologizing.
He said, "I'm very sad. I let those guys down. I let the ball club down. I let the team, I let the -- it's very important because that's the reason they hire me: to manage a ball club not to talk politics."
His suspension is effective immediately.
