Man wanted out of Steuben County for OWI causing death arrested in LaGrange County
LAGRANGE COUNTY, Ind. - A man wanted out of Steuben County for operating while intoxicated causing death was arrested in LaGrange County on Wednesday, according to the LaGrange County Sheriff's Office.
Donald Squires was arrested at a residence in the 6600 block of N. County Road 850 E. near Howe.
Squires was wanted out of Steuben County for two counts of OWI causing death and one count of OWI causing catastrophic injury.
On Wednesday, a LaGrange County deputy was canvassing in the area because it was where Squires reportedly lived.
While canvassing, the deputy saw a man, believed to be Squires, enter the residence.
Deputies ordered Squires out of the home but he initially did not comply, according to reports.
After an hours-long standoff, Squires exited the home and was taken into custody without further incident.
