Man wanted on failure to appear charges out of La Porte County found in Florida
LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. - A man wanted out of La Porte County on failure to appear charges was found and arrested in Florida, according to the La Porte County Sheriff's Office.
Timothy Bailey, 55, was arrested on two counts of failure to appear.
On March 15, 2021, Bailey was ordered by Superior Court I to surrender himself at the La Porte County Jail on separate charges.
Bailey allegedly failed to report on that day. On March 24, 2021, he was taken into custody in Yell County, Arkansas.
Bailey posted a commercial bond in Yell County and left the area.
Earlier this summer, the La Porte County Sheriff's Office received new information on Bailey's whereabouts.
Investigators eventually tracked down Bailey to Jacksonville, Florida.
On August 16, 2022, he was arrested by the U.S. Marshals in Jacksonville.
He was brought to the La Porte County Jail on Thursday and is being held on no bond.
Bailey will eventually be taken to the Indiana Department of Correction.
