
CASS COUNTY, Mich. -- The Cass County Sheriff's Office reports deputies responded to a call of a stabbing and car theft near Patterson Hill Road and Mann Street in Newberg Township before 6 a.m., Wednesday.
Authorities say the call came in around 5:40 a.m.
Upon arrival, a man, identified as the victim, told deputies he'd been riding around with two other men when one of them stabbed him before they both stole his truck.
Deputies along with officers from the Pokagon Tribal Police Department, and Cassopolis Police Department located the stolen truck and arrested the two suspects.
The stabbing victim was taken to Elkhart General Hospital where he is said to be in stable condition.
The names of all persons involved are being withheld until suspects are arraigned on their charges.
The incident remains under investigation.
