Man found guilty of arson in 2020 fire at Hickory Village Apartments

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. – A man was found guilty of arson on Wednesday for his role in a December 2020 fire at the Hickory Village Apartments in Mishawaka, the St. Joseph County Prosecutor’s Office announced.

A jury found 27-year-old Anthony Ware of Mishawaka guilty on two counts of arson and one count of false identity statement.

The sentencing range for a level 4 felony (arson) is two to 12 years.

The sentencing range for a class A misdemeanor (false identity statement) is up to one year.

Ware’s sentencing is scheduled for July 27.
