MARSHALL COUNTY, Ind. -- The Marshall County Sheriff's Department announced deputies were notified of a crash on S.R. 331 at 1st Road in Bremen on Wednesday around 6:05 p.m.

Deputies were informed the person had left the scene driving north.

Deputies soon found the suspect vehicle and arrested the driver, identified as 63-year-old John E. Dreibelbis Jr.

Authorities learned Dreibelbis had been drinking and was found to be intoxicated.

It was found that Dreibelbis had a blood alcohol content of over three times the legal limit.

He was taken to the hospital to be checked out before being lodged at the Marshall County Jail.

Dreibelbis is charged with Operating a Vehicle While Intoxicated and Leaving the Scene of a Property Damage Accident.

He was given a court date and a cash bond of $1,500.
