Man arrested in South Bend for battery with a deadly weapon

SOUTH BEND, Ind. – Police officers in South Bend were dispatched to Memorial Hospital on Tuesday after an aggravated assault victim arrived for treatment of their injuries.

The victim said the incident happened in the 900 block of Riverside Drive. 

The victim alleged that they were involved in an altercation that turned physical. The victim told police that they were cut and then suspect ran off.

Their injuries are believed to be non life-threatening.

On Thursday, 41-year-old Steven Fisher was arrested by police for battery with a deadly weapon and he was taken into custody at the St. Joseph County Jail.

Formal charges are expected to be filed by the Prosecutor’s Office.
