Local section of U.S. 20 to have alternating lane closures through November

ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- The Indiana Department of Transportation has announced alternating lane closures on U.S. 20 between U.S. 31 and Ironwood Drive starting Monday and lasting through November.

"U.S. 20 will have alternating lane closures through late November for two bridge deck overlay preventative maintenance projects over Miami Street and York Road," INDOT said. "Motorists should be prepared for changing traffic patterns in the area and delays during peak times."

INDOT is encouraging drivers to allow extra time when driving through this area and to follow traffic directions carefully.

"Motorists should slow down, exercise caution and drive distraction-free through all work zones," INDOT officials said.
