Local non-profit animal shelter looking for volunteers

SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The non-profit limited admission cat and dog shelter, Pet Refuge, is currently looking for volunteers with a passion for helping animals.

Do you like talking about, thinking about, and watching cats and dogs?

If you're interested in volunteering, there are multiple opportunities to come in and learn more, including Thursday, from 6 to 8 p.m., and Saturday, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The non-profit has morning and evening shifts available seven days a week.

Refuge officials say even one four-hour shift a week makes a world of difference for the cats and dogs.
