Local fire departments take part in 'The Mustache Bash' fundraiser for Great Lakes Burn Camp
ST. JOSEPH COUNTY, Ind. -- Members of Clay and Mishawaka Fire Departments will participate in "The Mustache Bash," a fundraiser for Great Lakes Burn Camp.
Great Lakes Burn Camp is a non-profit organization that hosts two annual camps that aim to provide a unique and healing experience for burn-injured children and foster self-esteem, confidence, and overall well-being.
Firefighters will come together at the "Shave-in" on Saturday at 7 p.m. at Corby's Irish Pub, where they will each donate at least $20 before shaving their mustaches.
On March 8, they will regroup at Corby's for "The Bash" to raise more money and admire the mustache growth over the month.
You can purchase T-shirts to support the cause or donate here.
Organizers say they're hoping for more community involvement and donations this year after raising over $11,000 in 2024.
You can also participate whether you're growing a mustache or not by paying $20 to register for The Mustache Bash at The Shave-In.
Your registration includes an official Mustache Bash pint glass, which you'll receive on March 8.
On Saturday, organizers say there will be pizza and beer for everyone to enjoy.
