CHICAGO, Ill. — ABC57's Dante Stanton caught up with several Cubs fans who made the trip from the Michiana area Wednesday to see the Cubs play the Padres in game two of the NL Wildcard series.
Fans were especially excited after Tuesday's win; the first in a playoff series for the Cubs since 2017.
Fritz and Greg Campanello, both originally from Elkhart, say they're the most excited they've been since watching the Cubs beat the Guardians in game seven of the 2016 World Series.
Greg Campanello showed his dedication by hopping on a flight from New Jersey to Chicago Wednesday morning just to see the Cubs play.
Other fans ABC57 spoke with came from all parts of the world; including some from Japan, Mexico, San Diego and Washington D.C.
