SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The South Bend Engagement and Economic Development Team is bringing back the Linden Avenue Farmers Market to bring fresh and healthy food to marginalized communities Saturday and beyond.
On Thursday, ABC57's Summer Horan spoke with Mary McAfee, the South Bend Engagement and Economic Empowerment Director, and Darryl Scott, the Executive Director of Department of Community Investment about the market's goals and what you can expect from them.
The Linden Avenue Farmers Market will be held on the second Saturday of each month from June through September from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the MLK Dream Center on 1522 Linden Avenue in South Bend.
If you would like to learn more about the market or if you're a vendor wanting to contribute, you can look on the City of South Bend's website.
