MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- Liberty Elementary School in Mishawaka hosted a Back-to-School Haircuts event on Wednesday after Master Barber Gerald Grant at Exclusive Studios reached out to the school to offer free haircuts.
The event which took place from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., was originally advertised only for young men, however, with help of Jasmine from Come Get Jazzed, girls were also able to get a haircut.
Jasmine also assisted with other hairstyles like braids.
"I just love to give back, you know, because I know how it is, you know, for some parents who can't provide a good haircut for their children, so this is my way of giving back, you know, once a year. And I just enjoy cutting hair. So, you know, I like to thank you know Mishawaka schools for allowing me to do this, and hopefully we can continue on every year and go from there."
