MISHAWAKA, Ind. -- UPDATE: Multiple vehicles in the parking lot of Jordan Lexus of Mishawaka have been reportedly damaged due to the water main break.
ORIGINAL STORY: Mishawaka city officials say Grape Road currently has southbound lane restrictions just north of Day Road, as of 11:29 a.m., Wednesday, for emergency water main repairs.
Motorists are asked to use alternate routes to avoid the closure area.
Updates regarding the closure will be released as soon as a restoration schedule is received by the city.
Barricades and signage are in place for the restriction.
Questions regarding this work may be directed to the Mishawaka Utilities Water Division at (574) 258-1652.
You can view an interactive map of all road closures and lane restrictions within Mishawaka online.
Mishawaka police and fire were both called to the scene.
Fire crews have since cleared the scene, but police are there directing traffic.
