La Porte man arrested on Rape, Child Seduction, Child Molesting, and other related felonies

LA PORTE COUNTY, Ind. -- A 48-year-old La Porte man is facing several felony charges following an investigation into several allegations of sexual assault against minors.

The suspect, Jacob Nekvasil, is charged with Child Seduction, a Level 3 Felony, Rape, a Level 3 Felony, Child Molesting, a Level 4 Felony, Sexual Misconduct with a Minor, a Level 4 Felony, Domestic Battery with Bodily Injury, a Level 5 Felony, Child Seduction, a Level 6 Felony, and Domestic Battery, a Misdemeanor.

Nekvasil's initial hearing was on April 17. His jury trial is scheduled for Oct. 13.

Case documents reveal on March 2, deputies with the La Porte County Sheriff's Office responded to a residence around 10:47 p.m. after a Nekvasil allegedly had "inappropriate contact" with a 15-year-old.

Authorities spoke with the victim who stated Nekvasil had touched her genitals multiple times over a period of about four years. The victim informed police Nekvasil forcibly had sex with her on several occasions.

A second teen victim alleged Nekvasil sexually abused her between the ages of 11 and 17.

A third victim alleged Nekvasil had battered her at least four times, including an instance when she was 18 where an argument became physical and she ended up falling down a set of basement stairs. This victim stated Nekvasil also slapped her face during one incident.

The third victim added that Nekvasil had touched her butt inappropriately when she was 14 or 15.

On April 10, the Indiana State Police SWAT team located Nekvasil in Michigan City where he was taken into custody and transported to La Porte County Jail.
