NOW: Knox Redskins win regional title, Myles Mclaughlin claims national single season rushing records

STARKE COUNTY, Ind. -- A big celebration was the aftermath at Community Field in Knox Friday night as the Knox Redskins earn themselves a regional title over Angola in a 28-21 finish.

The 13-0 team continues their undefeated season for yet another week.

QB/RB Myles Mclaughlin put on another dominant performance with 372 yards rushing, 53 carries, and 4 touchdowns.

During the game, Mclaughlin made history, becoming the national all-time single season rushing touchdowns record holder and rushing yards leader.

"It feels great, it was a real gutsy win by my team and I and we couldn't do it without the loud crowd tonight. We got to have a big crowd next week and we'll get the job done."

Head Coach Russ Radtke reflected on one of the hardest fought battles his team has faced yet this season.

"You've got to remember, they [Angola] won the last three, so they're not gonna be walking out on you. The objective with the second half though, we shut them out and that is great defense that had to be done. We got another touchdown, but we surely tried to get that two-point touchdown. But hey, you ask for everything, but you just get what's right. And the young boys played hard."

Knox now advances to the semi state, where they'll travel to Fort Wayne to play 8-5 Bishop Luers.
