Breezy but warming up today
ELKHART, Ind. -- According to officials with the City of Elkhart, at approximately 4:45 p.m. on Feb. 8, a single engine aircraft crashed near runway 18-36 at the Elkhart Municipal Airport.
They say the pilot was the only one on board and was not injured.
The Elkhart Police Department confirms their officers and the Elkhart Fire Department responded to the scene.
The Federal Aviation Administration is investigating the incident.
