INDIANAPOLIS. -- The Indiana Department of Health has reported the first laboratory confirmed case of measles in the state of Indiana this year.

The case involves an unvaccinated minor in Allen County.

The patient is recovering and stable, with their name being withheld to protect the patient's privacy.

State and local health officials are working together to investigate and confirm any additional cases.
