GOSHEN, Ind. -- Parkview Health announced Thursday that Goshen Health has officially joined their system.

Parkview officials say this move strengthens healthcare access across Northern Indiana and Southern Michigan.

The addition adds 105-bed acute care hospital and network of primary and specialty care physicians to Parkview's health network.

"Today marks the beginning of an exciting new chapter for healthcare in Elkhart County and throughout the region," said Dr. Ray Dusman, president, physician and clinical enterprise, Parkview Health. "Goshen Health has built an exceptional legacy of serving this community, and we are honored to welcome its co-workers, providers and patients to Parkview. Together, we will build on that legacy, expand access to care close to home and advance our commitment to delivering high-quality healthcare at the best cost for the communities we serve."

As part of Parkview Health, Goshen Health will gain access to additional resources, technology, and expertise that support its continued growth and long-term sustainability, officials said.

Goshen Health will now be called Parkview Goshen Hospital.

Officials say about 2,000 Goshen Health co-workers and providers will integrate with Parkview's systems and infrastructure in the coming months.

Updated branding, signage, and technology platforms will also be updated over the next year.
