Indiana State Police K9 Zoia to receive body armor

BRISTOL, Ind. – A K9 with the Indiana State Police Department is getting a bullet and stab protective vest from the non-profit organization Vested Interest in K9s. Inc.

K9 Zoia’s vest will be embroidered with the words, “Honoring those who served and sacrificed.”

Vested Interest in K9s, Inc. is a charity organization that has provided over 4,100 vests to K9s in each of the 50 states.

These vests are individually valued between $1,744 and $2,283 and weigh around four to five pounds.

Zoia will receive this vest in eight to ten weeks.
