WASHINGTON, D.C. – Indiana Senator Todd Young spoke about infrastructure at the “Project for Growth, Innovation and Opportunities” conference held in Washington D.C. on Tuesday.
The event was hosted by the U.S. Chamber of Commerce.
Senator Young said that there is a need to improve Indiana’s infrastructure and it can be done by investing in rural broadband, locks and dams, and inland waterway systems.
“This would be a great time to do a really ambitious bipartisan infrastructure package,” Senator Young said.
Simply approving the installation of a bridge can take up to 20 years in Indiana, Senator Young said.
He went on to say that he is working on solutions that will remedy issues related to infrastructure.
